Location: Goochland, Virginia

Events at Rassawek Vineyard in Western Goochland County, Virginia must be experienced to completely fathom. They defy categorization and are difficult to describe. I mean this in the best possible way.
This past weekend we attended Rassawek’s 10th Annual Spring Jubilee to promote the Virginia is for Farmers Market Lovers Trail. And we were extremely glad we did! We met an incredible number of farmers market lovers who were excited about the Trail. We also immersed ourselves in this not-to-be-missed event walking around happily taking in the acres of sights and activities. Everywhere you turn at Rassawek, there is something fascinating, entertaining, educational, or delicious.

Chef Adventure Tent
The Virginia Farmers Market Association’s table was in the lively and fun Chef Adventure Tent. There RVAg organized a Micro-Market where shoppers could buy all kinds of locally made packaged foods. They also coordinated entertaining chef demonstrations – giving local chefs a “mystery basket” of locally grown ingredients. The chefs didn’t know what they’d get in advance but of course these pros turned out delicious dishes with what they were given. Edible Education got children involved in making food as well through their interactive kids activities.
